“ Wariwari ” - A word borrowed from the Puyuma, one of the indigenous groups of the Taiwanese aborigines.

Wariwari means:
“days / daily / time / weather”

The Wariwari home decor collection is an expression of the daily moments that are shared between loved ones.
[ Inspired by Rattan ]

In nature, rattan naturally grows and climbs trees and other plants for sunshine.  Intertwined to these plants, rattan unknowingly acts as their protector, shielding them from extreme weather.

It is this characteristic, that makes rattan a great material for bounding.

We present the Wariwari collection as a medium to share the relationship of togetherness, drawing-in everyone close, like rattan does in the nature.

Little experiments we made.

“I grew this flower here just for you.
Oh, and the bills are there as well. (kisses)”

[Creating together with Puyuma craft master]

While producing the work, the master shared not only the techniques about handling the materials, but also the stories and myths from his community.

We were told to cherish the materials with respect as Puyumas do, that shows the care of nature and is the way to maintain a sustainable environment.

With such precious experiences, Wairwari collection was sincerely created to evokes the lovely moments of your daily life.
