Modern foods are now mostly produced by huge industrials, however, the secrets behind manufacturing are issues for us to think about. Our diets have changed massively as we have progressed. Another issue is that the demand for meat is increasing rapidly and the rate at which we produce meat is becoming alarmingly high as well. These standardized foods produced in artificial environments seem inexpensive. My background in industrial design has unconsciously led me to focus on everyday objects. Regarding art as a medium for conveying messages, I attempt to tell stories through the daily scenes I create that depict the relationships among us. Imaginary Park2017 reflects my warm friendship with children who have intellectual disabilities（喜憨兒）. I've learned a great deal from their unbridled thoughts and shared my experiences with the public by co-creating a playground. With a curiosity about the various perspectives of this island, Wariwari Collection2018 is an attempt to gain a deeper insight into the indigenous culture of the Puyuma tribe. The Puyuma master is reviving the traditional way of living, and the main culture is to keep affiliating with ancestors (祖靈), which reminded me of my relationship with my loving family. Dedicated to my mother, Marble-made Mahjong2018 showed my reconciliation about the huge personality differences between us. With this permanent material, I found it similar to the philosophy that she wants to pass on to me. By coming to terms with my grandpa's passing,&nbsp;missing days, drifting memories2022 , I tell a story in memory of him as a retired soldier in his post-war tranquility.Some of my works also showcase my concern for contemporary issues. As the boundary between work and personal life blurs, I've found that tidying up has become a daily ritual for me switching between different modes. My grandpa has a regular routine of tearing off the daily calendar, folding the corners on important days, and jotting down notes about family and doctor's appointments - it's his diary. Even during his last days, he never forgot about it, leaving the calendar on the current day. With his passing, the calendar remained on that day. Regularities have disappeared with him, fading into scattered particles, trivial yet important. The mess or tidy living environment shows a clue to one's mental condition. Children with intellectual disabilities (ID) often struggle to conform to societal norms. Yet, they openly shared genuine thoughts and feelings from their lives; waves of laughter; and happiness. The children are natural born artists and they welcomed the project with open arms, motivating us to preserve their innocent ideas. In contrast to often strictly regulated sports events, in the minds of children with ID, in art there are no rules to follow or boundaries that are forbidden to cross. It is this characteristic, that makes rattan a great material for bounding. We present the Wariwari collection as a medium to share the relationship of togetherness, drawing-in everyone close, like rattan does in the nature.
